3.1 Geophysics

3.1.1 Airborne Geophysics

Radiometric and magnetic survey conducted in November 2018 with a gamma ray spectrometer and fluxgate magnetometer aboard a boom on a Bell helicopter flying 330 line-kilometers of transects over Morocota at approximately 60 meters above surface yielded an array of geospatial, geophysical information used to identify potentially rich areas and prioritize drill targets and mine development, including:

  • Total magnetic intensity
  • Total magnetic intensity International Geometrical Reference Field removed
  • Total magnetic intensity reduced to the magnetic equator
  • Total magnetic intensity reduced to the magnetic pole
  • First vertical derivative of total magnetic intensity
  • Horizontal derivative of total magnetic intensity
  • Total element count
  • Potassium
  • Thorium
  • Uranium
  • Ternary element

In July of 2012, an induced polarization study conducted from ground surface level over a 5.6km2 area within the Morocota project produced a 3D model displayed as 2D horizontal and vertical chargeability and resistivity cross-sections, as well as a horizontal interpretation of geophysical structures.

3.2 Geochemistry

3.2.1 Soil Geochemistry

In September and October 2020, certified laboratory results confirm gold surface soil concentrations, as well concentration of 35 additional elements, in 131 samples taken around the Grillos south anomaly. The gold concentration of 10 samples came back over the laboratory cut off threshold, 1000 parts per billion. A second, over-limit analysis of those samples yielded results as high as 10.36 parts per million, that is 10.3 grams of gold per tonne in surface soil!

3.3 LiDAR topography & orthophoto

In 2018 Morocota collected LiDAR measurements and orthophotos over 47 square kilometers from a Cessna 182 T aircraft flying at approximately 1500 feet. The survey produced a point cloud dataset containing over 370 million LiDAR measurements, a “bare earth” digital terrain model, a “first surface” digital elevation model, detailed contour lines and spot heights, and a true color orthophoto mosaic with a spatial resolution of less than 10 square centimeters.
